The Palm Beach County Reef Research Team was originally organized in 1991 and has gathered data on the County's artificial reefs each year. The team photographs, maps, videos, and monitors fish assemblages on the reefs. Since 1996, the team has also been monitoring the benthic biota encrusting or using the artificial reefs. In 2002, the team added monitoring natural reefs as comparisons to artificial reefs. The team provides reports of their findings to ERM.
