Admitted to the Florida Bar in 1953, Mr. Ackerman, a U.S. Navy veteran, was the senior partner in the civil law firm of Ackerman, Baskst & Cloyd, established in 1936.  In 1998, after nearly five decades in civil practice, Mr. Ackerman became an Assistant State Attorney for the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County where he served until 2009.  His professional activities, among many others, include being a member of the Board of Directors of the state Family Law Section of the Florida Bar and chairperson of the Palm beach County Bar Association Circuit Court Civil Advisory Committee.  Over the years, Mr. Ackerman authored many law articles for state bar publications and lectured on various aspects of civil litigation throughout the state.  Among his many awards, Mr. Ackerman is most proud of being the first recipient of the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s Professionalism Award.

Mr. Ackerman is a graduate of the University of Florida with a BS degree in business administration and the University of Miami Law School.

 

Mr. Evans is a lifelong resident of Palm Beach County.  He is a graduate of Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach and the University of Florida where he received a B.A. degree in history in December, 2009.
