County Commissioner Priscilla A. Taylor has been named to several important committees of the National Association of Counties (NACo).
Commissioner Taylor has agreed to serve as vice chair of NACo’s Finance and Intergovernmental Affairs Steering Committee. Leadership at the national level will be especially critical this year as federal policies are being developed on a number of issues directly impacting counties. Commissioner Taylor expects to make some trips to Washington, D.C. to testify before congressional committees and/or to lobby on behalf of local government.
Commissioner Taylor has also been appointed to serve as vice chair of NACo’s Membership Standing Committee, and as a member of the Large Urban County Caucus Steering Committee and the Programs and Services Standing Committee.
Commissioner Taylor currently represents Palm Beach County on the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council and the Metropolitan Planning Organization.
Prior to becoming a county commissioner in 2009, Commissioner Taylor served in the Florida House of Representatives and on the Port of Palm Beach District Commission. As state representative, she served on the House Committee on the Insurance and Business and Financial Affairs Policy Committee, the Policy Council and General Government Policy Council, and the Full Select Policy Council of Strategic & Economic Planning.
