As part of its Economic Development Forum, the Lantana Chamber of Commerce invited Commissioner Abrams to give an update on current issues facing the county.  The commissioner reiterated his goal since taking office to ensure residents’ public safety, the sustainability/growth management of the county and balancing the budget. He discussed some of the challenges that municipalities are experiencing with compliance with the Ethics Commission, and highlighted current matters affecting the county—term limits, charter reform and redistricting.
